Front-End Engineer - Mobile & Web

Your Role

Join Affectable Sleep as our Front-End Engineer and play a key role in shaping the future of health and well-being. You'll be responsible for building elegant, responsive mobile and web interfaces that connect people with our neurotechnology. Your mobile work will be central to how we communicate with users and how they engage with Affectable. You’ll also develop internal web-based tools that support researchers using our technology in long-term studies.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of our iOS app, enhancing existing features and building new ones in SwiftUI
• Translate interface designs into high-quality, production-ready code with strong attention to visual detail and interaction quality.
• Design and implement web-based tools to support research teams using our system for data access and study management.
• Work closely with our designers and engineers to create user journeys that are seamless, reliable, and engaging.
• Develop reusable components and interface logic that help scale future features.
• Optimize app performance and responsiveness across a range of devices.
• Contribute to code quality, structure, and long-term maintainability of the front-end codebase.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience developing in SwiftUI and building mobile applications.
• Solid knowledge of front-end web development (HTML, CSS, TypeScript).
• Demonstrated ability to deliver well-crafted, interactive experiences.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A portfolio, GitHub, or examples of prior work that reflect design precision and engineering quality.

Desirable Experience

• Experience developing for Android platforms.
• Familiarity with mobile animation and accessibility best practices.
• Experience working in a startup or fast-paced development environment.
• Understanding of user needs and ability to incorporate feedback quickly.
• A background in building apps that support health, wellness, or connected devices.
